about

Recorded history indicates that Benga Music, Kenya's foremost and most popular genre of music, initially, started from the counties where the Dholuo speaking people live. The Counties, which are situated along the shores of LakeVictoria, are Kisumu, Migori, Homabay and Siaya Counties (found in Western Kenya), before spreading to other counties within Kenya and to other countries like Zimbabwe and Congo.

Papi OdeQ presents an album of Benga Fusion. The music is predominantly played in the style of Kenya's foremost, and arguably, most successful genre of music called Benga with a fusion of other styles including Soft-Rock, Rumba, Rock n Roll, Taarab (From Kenya's Coast), Isikuti (From Kenya's Western County of Kakamega)

In his second studio album, Papi OdeQ also explores, and widely so, the topic of SOCIAL JUSTICE, a topic very close to his heart, through song.
